COVID-19 symptoms: what's next?

If your child has been sent home from school with suspected COVID-19 then it's really important that you follow the Stay At Home Guidance from the government.

These are the key points to remember:

  1. You and everyone else in your household must remain at home. Do not go to work, school, or public areas, and do not use public transport or taxis. Do not leave the house to buy food, essentials or exercise.

  2. Arrange a test to see if you have COVID-19

  3. Ask friends or family if you require help with buying groceries, other shopping or picking up medication, or walking a dog. Alternatively, you can order your shopping online and medication by phone or online. Delivery drivers should not come into your home, so make sure you ask them to leave items outside for collection.

  4. Contact the NHS 111 Coronavirus Service if you cannot cope with your symptoms at home, your condition gets worse, or your symptoms do not get better after 7 days
